I'm not sure if this has been discovered already but i recently found out that Shadow's down air has more range that it looks. It also extends his hurtbox too sadly. Here is a gif:

I didn't know about the range myself, but I do know range extends hurtboxes. It's wh Samus is only mid tier.

Why the hell am I spending time on this game?
So I found out this game has some kind of priority system. So I tested it out in training mode with 2 Kirby's hitting each other with side attack.
So how the priority system goes is that the last person who attacked gets the most prioirity. For example: Kirby 1 uses side attack before Kirby 2, and since Kirby 2 used side attack after Kirby 1 did, Kirby 2 will beat out Kirby 1's side attack.

It looks like it's random if they are doing it at the same frame.

Also after screwing around more in training mode I found out that certain characters are unable to Short Hop or/and Turn Around Cancel during their Down Attack animation.
These characters are: Captain Falcon, Blue, Sonic. Super Sonic, Inuyasha, Jigglypuff, Meta Knight, Kirby, Blade, Crono, Naruto, Mario, and Luigi.

Also all moves cannot be Short Hopped via Jump Cancel on the first few frames of the move.

After learning talking about SSF1 from a couple of people who study the game and playing the game myself for a few days here are some of my predictions for the nea tier list:

Fox will most likely be top 5. Side attack makes him travel far and fast giving him a good recovery and probably the best mobility. Also he has down augment lasers which can kill VERY early.

G&W will be the worst or bottom 3 at best. His projectile doesn't travel as far as most characters projectiles and it has too much startup for it to wall properly. Also his hitboxes and hurtbox on his moves are crap and his range is one of if not the worst in the game. He also has the worst mobility in the entire game.

Zero will Definantly drop. While he does have some decent OHKO moves, from what I've tested all of his moves outside of his projectile are beaten out by everything. Also his projectile has VERY high startup so its pretty useless.

Mewtwo will rise simply because of down augment side attack and standing attack.

The SSF1 tier list in progress is going to be delayed a bit due to the discovery of various things that I had somehow totally overlooked before.

For instance, hurtboxes including all elements of a character's animation, including hitbox.

I'm currently looking to dig through the files to better understand how character priority works before continuing any further on the tier list.

I don't know, seems to me that you can't have a tier list if the game doesn't have a competitive scene.
