WHY WAS KIRBYS HITBOX ON THE HAMMER BEHIND HIM REMOVED. I like most of the changes to kirby, but the fact that his hammer doesn't have that anymore is gonna be tough.

Kirby changes I noticed -

+ uptilt is faster and properly combos now, so uptilt oos is even stronger now :D
+ fair has reduced endlag
+ grounded hammer seems to be stronger and faster
+ faster on the ground and air, buffing the main weakness kirby had last version
+ nair is faster and lasts longer and is stronger
+ stone does more damage
+ fthrow revamped for more combos
+ faster pummel
+ upthrow kills now ! :D

- bair has way more endlag, weaker D:
- fair has more end lag for whatever reason. fair also has less trapping
- dair is less powerful
- inhale is smaller
- dash attack is faster but is smaller and had less trapping
- fsmash is smaller and weaker
- upb has less vertical distance

personal reflection -
This version of Kirby will take some time to get used to, but I think it holds a much better tool set and is more viable and skill heavy then last version. Spit BAir is still a thing, however since inhale and bair got nerfed, I should probably find some other stupid niche to carry myself on. I now cant spam bair and combo with fair like I used to a lot. I guess I actually have to play the game now. Though some of my favorite key things got nerfed, I will try to push the meta further for this pink ball of terror. :p

Thank you for the list of changes on Kirby! I've been waiting for someone to go into depth on them! A few things though:

1. UThrow actually COULD KO last demo, and I think it was at even EARLIER percentages.
2. I agree with you on how Hammer is stronger AND faster, but I feel that you should still mention how the hitbox at Kirby's back when using Hammer is no longer there. IMO, I consider that a nerf, personally.

I miss the autocancel hammer that got patched out in one of .9b's minor updates, and it feels odd that dair doesn't have the combos like in Smash 4, but the fthrow and air speed alone is going to be great for combos and approach.

I experimented a little bit with Kirby's copies
You can slide a little bit after landing while Falcon Punch is charging
Kirby still uses Meta Knight's v0.9b Neutral B apperently
You can use all of your jumps while charging Megaman's blaster
Kamehameha doesn't bug, but I think it's because it uses v0.9b as well

Another thing, Bomberman's copy works and looks like the Bomb copy.

After playing Kirby for a while in Beta i can safely say Kirby is the worst in SSF2 Beta. Kirby lacks good kill options. F-Smash has terrible kill power which was his best kill move in 0.9b. Kirby's dash attack is still a** and it acutally got nerfed as it does less damage now. Kirby lacks useful approach options and Kirby really struggles at killing and landing a hit.

If Kirby has a stronger bair, better dash attack, and 0.9b f-smash Kirby would be much better.

No offense, but every character you try is the worst in the game for you for some reason :chibirobo:
LOLed at the "dash attack was a** in 0.9b" part though. Arguably the best dash attack in the game, and for good reason (high priority, hard to get out of even with SDI, decent damage and range), so the nerf was incoming and needed.

Not going to lie, I have to agree that Kirby's Dash Attack kind of...well, it sort of sucks now. I guess I understand the nerf for it, but still.

Also, anyone else becoming INCREASINGLY frustrated with how Kirby's D-Air isn't a reliable Meteor Smash anymore? Because I am.

And quick question: Is Kirby supposed to be able to move forward/backward during his U-Throw after dashing into an opponent and performing the move? Or is that just a bug?

Is it just me or does the hammer hitbox seem to be small? Also Kirby can chaingrab with down throw on Falco and Fox but you have to read their DI

Kirby feels better, like more clean cut/combo based- Bair isn't the super strong thing that it used to be. Not too confident on his viability though, because...no joke Bandanna Dee does everything he can do better. But Kirby is 100% fun to play in this game and he's definitely not the worst, if only because his matchups aren't too bad.
