Seems alright. Glad they balanced the Side-B, although it's kind of butts now as a standalone. There are some nice confirms with it from grab, though.

The fact that side-b no longer leaves you helpless now makes it a viable momentum cancel.

I can't say that I totally dislike the nerfs Black Mage received in Beta, but I will say that he's not fun to play anymore.
While he is a lot more balanced, and much harder to spam with now, I'm gonna miss that side-B.

Practiced my edge guarding again to the point where anytime I see that he loses his double jump, I go straight for him before he even gets his teleporter to be on the stage (tho it can be on the ledge).

Either way you can take advantage of his up b.

I'm not a :blackmage: main (though I would kinda be if this wasn't changed) I'm not really liking his side b not being able to just get anyone in it's way like it did before.

So the only change I would honestly suggest is, you see where the circle when he does his side b, I think if it could still get people when they are in between the circle and :blackmage:

Well, I came here just to say this.

Black Mage has become my favorite character in the entirety of the Smash games, and I really want to thank the team for his conception as a whole. I feel like he's probably the best character in terms of both representing it's franchise, and at the same, creating a character that feels cohesive and fun to play. I love the character so much now, and I already liked him quite a lot in the older versions.

Tbh I like the character so much I would even do a video with the style of "Know Your Moves" just to show to the world how well designed he is.

Can we get :blackmage:'s down-B control back, like before the beta, you could control the movement of the meteor of there it goes by using down-b and pressing left, right, or just let it be, moving the meteor closer towards you, far away, or just at a normal distance. :blackmage:

I think it's a good thing they nerfed that: it just completely shut down some characters (DK had to pray to get a hit on a flat stage!)

Considering how low the KB on meteor is, and combined with the huge endlag the move has on the ground, I don't think aimable Meteor would really be that broken.

It would give the character some cool kill confirms tho :chibirobo:
