She's not a one trick pony any more, but now i can do less combos than before. She does WAY too much knock back. Her dsmash doesn't go into fair anymore. So now i'm stuck with dsmash to up smash. Dash attack is now one of her kill moves for some reason instead of being a start up move. And uair kills instead of being a combo starter or extender. (Why not make screw attack the killer like in Trash 4) OK....this is going to take some getting used to. LOL

I'll go study what she can do again later.


(EDIT) I don't even feel like trying to figure her out. I'll be back next patch.

Masky's complants are pretty fair tbh, the fact that so many people were just picking 1.0.2 samus and spamming fair into CS for kills at 40 made me dislike the character, though i feel she's more like her 9b self thanks to the 1.0.3 patch

I can't dash attack to F-air at higher %s anymore, her aerial missiles are now above her animation (so if you're aiming, you might miss...), her UNCHARGED Neutral-B is now faster(mcleodgaming here saying: spam to your heart's content, kids!) and charged is slower, because #logic, they reduced the B-throw's knockback, reduced the D-throw's damage. And for some reason, they decide to transfer the damage from her F-smash's 1st hitbox to the second.
And so, I have only one question. I get the "Samus OP pls nerf" meme, but damn Mcleod, did you have to go this hard on her ?

EDIT:I updated my sig with a little comic I made regarding my opinion about 1.3.0.1. :colonthree:

Saw Akabonba's thread on potential moveset reworks for Goku, which reminded me I had this gathering dust on my desktop. Inspired by Link's dramatic moveset change following his BOTW redesign in Smash Ultimate, I decided to try the same for the highly unlikely scenario that Metroid Fusion's sequel, Metroid Dread, ever got finished.

Just a bunch of ideas I had bouncing in my head to make the Smash Bros incarnation of Samus more true to her in-universe self, ranging from improbable (up smash and new model) to "why isn't this already in Smash" (Ice Beam and Speed Booster).

I originally made this as speculation for Smash itself, but aside from the obvious (there's no way Samus's model is ever getting changed lol) I think some of these could transfer over to SSF2 nicely.

Cool and all, but two beams seems kinda redundant to me, plus it gets rid of the Morph Ball Bomb which is a Metroid staple. Side spec is pretty nice though. Up spec is good too, but where would that place Screw Attack? Nair perhaps?

Up Special is still Screw Attack.up smash is the melee counter. personally I would make Down-B a beam swap between Power, Plasma, Ice, Wave, and Spazer/Diffusion.
