1) What happened to the new target smash?
All characters supposed to get their own target smash arnea instead of the 4 levels.

2) Why isn't Kirby black when he copy Mr. Game & Watch like in SSBM/SSBB/SSB4

How did the team decide which features from Melee/previous to implement (dash dancing, ledge hogging) and which to ditch (air dodge, L canceling)? Was melee's air dodge glitchy? Was it ever a consideration? (not asking for it, just curious)

Are we gonna be getting more Arena Mode "Modes" during BETA's Downloadable Updates?
You guys said in the Direct (And also SmashCon) that there would be more in BETA, but we've heard 0 word of any other of them, and Sandbag Soccer is still the only one.
(Also, on another topic, you can't pause at all in Arena Mode and Victory Screens aren't a thing--I don't mind the lack of Victory Screens though, it still functions to work right--so I'm wondering if those are bugs or)

What happened to stages such as Distant Planet and Shadow Moses Islands? Are they buggy too?

Is the Cucco item completely removed or just bugged out of the game? or they are now unlockable item like the master ball?
I didn't see that item anywhere on the item menu.

if you don't see a piece of content we talked about or previously had, it's for a reason. this game has an auto-updater now so if we plan on having it at a future date then you'll see it come back. we'll just leave it at that.

we try to avoid using assets from the newest installment wherever possible because they're more likely to kick up systems like content id on youtube. also, the public opinion of his brawl voice iirc is better overall

we had an internal discussion seeing as we were 5 months over our deadline and we don't do releases while a smash game is being hyped up. was kind of now or...really long from now.

we want our game to be fast and fun and full of combos, with your brain as the barrier - not your fingers. melee AD and l-canceling create artificial barriers to entry to competitive play. it also alienates people who would normally try ssf2 that normally play one or more of the other 3 installments in the series, just to appease one group. for l-canceling, to meet this goal and still make the game fun from people coming from a pm or melee background, we just have low landing lag in general, L not needed.

it also helps that if you mainly play melee and you try to melee-style AD or l-cancel it won't completely ruin you here,
whereas in an opposite situation if we did have those things... if you mainly play, say smash 4, and you try to airdodge and instead fall to your death, or are blissfully unaware of l-canceling and you can't figure out why your foe is dancing around you at light speed...

it just works better this way.

What is the distance between lines in the Home Run Contest?

I tried to measure it myself, but I'm not really sure what to make of this, because I'm not sure where the point the game measures on Sandbag is.
